We strongly recommend sending all items via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed® for your peace of mind.
Once we receive your ring, our engravers will personalise it to your exact specifications. Afterwards, we buff, clean, and polish the engraved area to remove any burrs and restore your ring's shine.
Finally, a member of our team will contact you to arrange payment for the engraving plus return postage (£9.50 for Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery, under 100g). We will then dispatch your engraved ring back to you.

Yes. Using specialised laser welding equipment, we can fill the engraved area with the matching precious metal. We then buff and polish the signet's surface to restore it to a smooth, blank finish, ready for a new design.

So, how deep will your engraving be? We always strive for the perfect balance by engraving as deeply as possible, ensuring that the quality of both the design and the jewellery itself is never compromised.

Signet ring engraving falls into two main types:
Surface Engraving (2D): The most popular choice. We use a laser or hand-carve your design onto the ring's surface. This method is perfect for a family coat of arms, crest, initials (monogram), fingerprints, or even a hand-drawn symbol. The result is a design that is meant to be viewed on the ring.
Seal Engraving (3D / Intaglio): This is the traditional method. Your design is carved by hand in reverse, allowing the ring to be pressed into wax to create a positive seal —the classic choice for a functional family crest or coat of arms.

Depending on our current workload, the design's complexity, and the method you choose. As a general guide:
Laser Engraving: We aim to complete this within 5 working days.
Hand Engraving: This can take up to 2 weeks due to the intricate craftsmanship involved.

The main distinction is that hand engraving is 3D (deep-carved for wax seals) while laser engraving is 2D (a crisp, surface-level design).

Artisanal: Requires a master engraver and years of skill, resulting in a deep, artisanal finish.
Time & Cost: This method is more expensive and takes longer to complete.
