We have a wide range of font choices available to choose from, catering to various design aesthetics and functional requirements. Additionally, we can engrave in any language, and you're welcome to explore a range of fonts available through Adobe Fonts.
With so many font styles, it can become overwhelming. To simplify this process, we've rounded up some of our customers' favourite font choices for engraving.
When selecting a font, it’s essential to consider its readability, especially if the area to be engraved is relatively small.
You'll also want to consider the message or feeling you want to convey. For instance, a classic serif font like Times New Roman might suit a formal occasion, while a more whimsical, cursive font gives a more personal touch.

When it comes to how deep the engraving will be, it's essentially a balancing act.
You must apply large amounts of heat to a material's surface to engrave at depth. Certain materials such as metal, wood or acrylic are ideal for withstanding these heat levels.
Glassware, however, when subjected to large amounts of heat from the laser beam, can result in the glass chipping or, worse, cracking. Additionally, engraving at depth can detract from the overall design if the design/motif has a large amount of detailing.
So, how deep will your engraving be? We will always endeavour to engrave as deeply as possible without compromising the quality of the outcome or damaging/distorting the material/item in question.

To provide an accurate quote, we ideally need a vector file. The most common types of vector files are AI (Adobe Illustrator), DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Please also provide us with an idea of the scale.
If you're unable to send us a vector file, please send us what you can to show your idea.

No, laser engraving does not rub off.
During the laser engraving process, a laser beam will melt/remove material from the surface of the item of jewellery in the shape of your design, making the engraving permanent and resistant to wear and tear, including rubbing off. Additionally, we can adjust the depth of the engraving depending on the material and the desired outcome.
Therefore, we can confidently say that laser-engraved designs or text on your jewellery will not rub off under normal circumstances.
